Dirty pirate

Aarghhh!
Max came home from nursery yesterday with an eye patch (black paper attached on a piece of wool) and refused to take it off until bedtime. He also wanted a ‘sword’ making, which Anya attempted for him but it wasn’t the same as “Carly’s” (one of the nursery ladies) so he threw himself on he floor.

Today, as soon as he woke up the eye patch was back on and it was my job to make him the dreaded ‘sword’. The first attempt wasn’t satisfactory and eventually, and after tears and frustration, (him not me) I found an image of a cutlass online which was the one! Finally he was happy with his cutlass and he had learnt a new word too!
I needed to get out so off we went round the allotments as pirates :)
