Project 365 day 38: Snow in the Downs
The snow came in the night, and continued, sometimes lazily and sometimes more frenetically, for most of the day. It's possibly the biggest snowfall we have seen since moving to Kent eight years ago. Previous owners of our house, many decades ago, used this now decrepit shed as a donkey shed: the door is in two parts and there is a horse (or donkey) shoe on the upper section. Now it's a lawn mower shed, in dire need of renovation, like so much in our garden. Snow softens the sense of dereliction, covering the messy piles of possibly useful junk outside and hiding the wind-ripped roofing felt.
Tomorrow is forecast to be colder and crisper, and I hope I will manage some outdoor photography. Today was a day for watching through windows and trying to stay warm.
