Big Day Out

It was a big day for Arlo today, we went a proper walk where there were other people, other dogs, lots of smells, cars and buses - he's had a sheltered 4 weeks with us but is now allowed out to play, albeit he still needs to learn to socialise with his peers and get used to the noises.

We were playing throw ball with him (fetch is not mastered yet) and another dog was walking near by, of course he dashed over and stopped, began barking all tough like, so the other dog comes running over towards him and as it gets close, Arlo turned on his heels running away yelping as if he was being attacked (he wasn't). Oh it was so funny, all of us and the other dog's owners were laughing. It was the sort of thing you'd want to embarass him with when he become's a teenager. Yeah, he still has much to learn! It was refreshing to do something different with him.
