Footsteps

Was looking through some of Steve Mccurry's interviews on youtube. And they did reinforce what I had begun to understannd from his photos.

In each of his shots, there lies a deep understanding of the people, the culture, the environs, which for me add the magic to his shots. And of course, no maatter how much one learns about photography and light, and technique, it may still not be possible to take photos which reflect such depth of understanding.

For me, his shots are awe inspiring and remind me why I try to take good photos. Because in the end, it is not about photography.
