Not a high quality picture, but a picture that indicates the work that is going on at the alternator of unit EC4. With a blurry man in a very white coverall. And a man inside the stator taking measurements. So you can see it is quite a lot bigger than the one on your bicycle.
The big hoses were used to blow dry air into the stator.

Finally the decision came off to repair the damage at the alternator.
It will be very expensive; the alternator has to be shipped to the factory and repair takes several months.
