Sunrise & Snow

This morning we have snow. Not a large amount, but snow.

This Blipfoto taken at 8:05 a.m. just six minutes after sunrise. Great to see the sun after the last few days.

However, with the East Wind it felt very cold.

The Council recycling truck emptied the green (plastics) bin a few minutes before 7:00 a.m. much later than usual. No doubt delayed because of the snow.

The empty had been left blocking the entrance. I can understand why he did that. The road and ice is very slippy. I retrieved it, in case the postman arrived with the mail.

He did, but walked in from the road, rather than drive in. He did remark that driving conditions were difficult. A lot of the side roads are very difficult just now.

I know that conditions are very much worse elsewhere.

Peter and Jean G at the Lost Gallery have experienced over 2 metres of snow. Parts of England are also in a bad way.

Best to stay at home.
