The sun was hot!

Walked up to the ridge with snow underfoot quite slippery but fine. Was coming down the field but found it was east facing and the drifts were a metre deep. Waded instead to a track down the burn where it was sheltered and only 30 cms deep. It had been so warm on the way up that hat and gloves were removed, but soon replaced up here in the teeth of a gentle but icy breeze! 
There were so many birds in the woods and squirrels too. Felt like Spring!
