Akebia quinata

It's like a coiling snake, with spotty bark, and a hug that binds it forever to its support. Just beginning to show flower buds - tiny purply/chocolate flowers and bright green leaves. Very fast and far, it's easy to plant it in the wrong place.
I begin to sound like a plantsman's catalogue, so I'll stop. It's a splendid climber, though!
