Blue Jay Strikes a Pose on a Snowy Morning

My husband takes good care of our local birds in the winter time. There was snow in the morning, to be followed shortly by dropping temperatures. And the birds, as always, were quite hungry. So he made multiple trips outside to provide chopped peanuts and fresh water for our birds.

Here is a photo of one of our prettiest blue jays. There are at least three of them who come by. This one was sitting atop the shepherd's hook the one feeder is hung from. The bird turned and looked at me, and I thought it seemed to be striking a pose. Just look at the patterns on its tail!
