My new-old car

Mine’s the white one, parked between the bread truck and the red Nissan Sentra.

Here’s the background story. Spurred on by Kendall’s sad tale about the sudden demise of her trusty old car, I decided I needed to give my ‘98 Toyota Corolla some tender loving care. First I took it to get a tune-up (its first in four years, I am ashamed to say), and there they told me the car was in excellent shape for its age and should last for many more years. So then I sought out a cheap-but-good auto paint shop, and they redid the whole car in its original shining white, completely covering over the unsightly rust spots. Voila! A new car. Looks new to me, anyway.
