The Southern Cross.

In celebration of the Waitangi Day holiday.
Waitangi Day is actually the 6th but the public holiday this year falls on Monday the 8th.
This New Zealand celebration commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 which is regarded as the founding document of the nation.
A day of snowy, sometimes heavy, showers here (hopefully not in NZ where it is high summer) and MaggieD and I got caught -twice! 
Chloe however thoroughly enjoyed charging about the garden between walks. She will sleep well tonight!
