Sleeping Landscape

The last day of February and we were greeted with a foggy morning - the sun finally breaking through at lunchtime. A few remnants of mist hung in the air whilst the bright sunshine on the brown landscape made it look still quite dormant.

A few hours of glorious sunshine before the clouds moved in and everthing seemed eerily gloomy albeit for some distant bird song.

This is the view across Peebles looking north towards Eddleston.
