The Outlaw Michael Howe

So today was the big day......my first time as a extra! It is a TV movie about the life of Michael Howe.

I got a lie in today till 5:45!

On the road at just after 6.......

Got to Old Sydney Town and I was taken into wardrobe almost straight away, I was given the perfect outfit ( wool coat, wool trousers) for the weather in Tasmania.....but we weren't in Tasmania! ......fortunately the wool waist coat the very nice wardrobe lady wanted me to wear wouldn't fit.......thank feck!

With wardrobe taking me straight away I some how managed to miss my shot at breakfast....doh! Anyway then on to make up, which basically consisted of a layer of sunscreen, a layer of dirt and then a good spray of fixative......which means that despite 2 showers since yesterday I still look grubby!

Then a group of us farmers and a few nasty Red Coats were taken to set.......were we proceeded to stand around for a while! Seriously, I'm now great at standing!

Over the course of the day we shot 4 scenes, ( 3 of which will only amount to seconds of screen time, one we were told would be a few minutes!)

Through the day I got to play with a antique blunderbuss ( which the armoury man looked nervous about!) , watch a man get his leg amputated ( not really but oh the magic of the movies!), find out that they use apple juice instead of wiskey and found that I was a natural stander, walker, clapper and perfect in a angry mob!

It was a great day and very interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes.....next time it would be nice to be paid though........

That's a wrap!

Oh and that's me on the left!
