The Fisherman’s

The Leeds / Liverpool canal at the Fisherman’s pub, Dowley gap. 


Beautiful but also the site of the tragic death of Lucy Spafford, aged 34, who was found in the canal late last year.  (No suspicious circumstances) . She was very sweet and pleasant to talk to. It was shocking at the time and remains a total waste and tragedy. 

Update: 17/2/21 An inquest has declared it an accidental death with no drugs or alcohol involved.
