Cabbie George

I was round the corner waiting for a photo opportunity just as a cab was drawing up to park. I noticed that there were packages piled up in the back for delivery. When he climbed out I asked him how business is at the moment. As I suspected George confirmed that it is terrible, the worst he has known for 35 years. So to keep himself busy and occupied he is delivering parcels for a friend.

I explained my photo project on taxi repair garages in Bethnal Green and he was happy to pose for a picture.Tough times for the cab trade.
