Be gone ...

... mourning dove!

Not having gone anywhere today I was limited to 'around the house' blip options.  I spent some time on the deck even though it was cold with not much sun ... if any.

I was photographing the squirrels when this beautiful red-bellied woodpecker came down to the feeder.  He obviously wanted it all to himself so he had no qualms about chasing off this poor mourning dope dove.  It's not the best shot of the day but it's certainly the most interesting.

I've brought the saturation down on most of the picture and then masked out the woodpecker.  I really love his red coloring.  One of these days I hope to get a picture of this woodpecker NOT on the feeder!
