building a road
I just found these construction materials simply interesting, visually.
Besides building a bridge nearby us, they are also improving the roads! One extra photo of recent bridge work . . .
"Roadway improvements on 44th Ave East will include widening to a four-lane facility with bike lanes, divided median, curb and gutter, sidewalk, multi-use trail, street lighting, utilities, drainage infrastructure and stormwater management systems. The bridge over the Braden River will be 0.28 miles in length and will include four travel lanes, shoulders, traffic railing barriers, sidewalk, multi-use trail, and utility space in the middle of the bridge deck to accommodate Manatee County utilities and street lighting.
Additionally, Caruso Road and Morgan Johnson Road will be realigned as two-lane facilities to create a signalized intersection at 44th Avenue East. The realigned Caruso Road section will include the western two lanes of a future four-lane section, including a bike lane, curb and gutter, paved shoulder, sidewalk and street lighting. Morgan Johnson Road will require only minor modifications to create the new intersection. The intersection of 44th Avenue East and Creekwood Boulevard will become signalized as well."
Wow. No wonder the project is projected to take 2 and 1/2 years! (Fall 2022) There is even more info, maps and photos HERE for anyone interested.
