No way out!
After work, Mollie, Jon and I took a walk up our lane and round in a circle via the chickens. Neither Mollie or Henry have been to work today again, and we have had intermittent heavy and light snow showers, split in the middle of the day by a bit of sun. For a short while the snow started to melt, so our walk was to check out access. But look at this! It is the road, but the snow has drifted off the field, and the road is nowhere to be seen. We walked along this narrow track that had been worn by others, but definitely no vehicles have been, or can get through. Just the same as it was during the Beast from the East a couple of years back. Jon is going to try driving out to Aylmerton tomorrow to see if we can get to the main road. If we can, then Mollie and Henry can try to get to work tomorrow. Neither are keen to drive in the snow, and I would like to see clear roads, at the least. We will see in the morning.
I had a blue tit, blackbird and robin all visiting the bird feeders outside my office window. A nice distraction from the daily grind. We tried our oil radiator in the summerhouse today. It shoukd be cheaper to run. It wasn't as warm but it definitely took the chill off and I am fine with my hot water bottle. Couldn't do it without it. When the sun came out, it actually felt warm. A hint of things to come.
Some tv and continued knitting my ear warmer this evening.
