Flood Alleviation or Amphitheatre?

We went for a walk around Sanquhar Loch and Woods today and passed by the flood alleviation area.  It reminds me of an amphitheatre and I think it would be a great place to have outdoor films, music and theatre in the summer months.  It was pretty cold today; it got down to -3 with some light snow falling.  It's due to get down to -10 tomorrow night.  I love it when it snows and it's currently snowing heavily.  I much prefer snow over a dreich wet day.
