Alone
It was one of those days with almost back-to-back Zoom meetings, interspersed with a mid-morning visit to Waitrose, our routine computer servicing and a very brief post-sunset trip to the Rowing Lake, which was still very flooded. This meant that there was nowhere much to walk, and it was so bitterly cold that I didn't want to stay long. I photographed some swans and some rather pastel clouds, but, as I was returning to the car, I spotted this young woman standing on the edge of the floods, almost silhouetted by the last light reflected from the water. Somehow she looked rather alone and vulnerable...
