Proper little baker

My five year old granddaughter loves to bake and is becoming quite the little baker. Last week she had a go at bread, extra photo. She still needs supervision especially as she has to stand on a chair and she can't reach the ingredients out of the cupboards but she pretty much gives the rest of it a go on her own! Mummy or daddy do the oven too,  as apart from the risk of burning herself it's built in and she could never reach from the ground! These are daddy's favourites, banana muffins!
My Tesco delivery man made it up the hill this morning. Bravo! Barry brought it down the drive as the poor man would have had snow filled shoes negotiating to the door but it was service with a smile, not a grumble in sight!
It was also a very big thank you to the coal-man, who after spending the day in the local pit, delivered our coal this evening. He's such a cheery young fellow and of course always black from head to toe! He had no problem reversing his truck down the drive and lugging in a ton of coal!
My mum to do list today was ordering her some trousers and contacting social services to get the ball rolling for her hopefully to be moved. Social services are calling to see her next week for assessment. Charlotte is going to be there with her and I should get at least an audio link to the meeting. Let's hope she eligible. Today she was waiting for a call back from the hospital as she is still not completely well and may have to have a cardiology appointment. They are a little concerned about the very slight pain she has with breathing at times and her cold and swollen feet. We can't fault them for their follow up care since mum has been back home.
It snowed on and off all day so I didn't chance a walk as the previous snow was icy with fresh snow laying on top. We are forecast more tomorrow but looking further forward that seems to be it for at least 10 days. Rain is forecast next week so that will clear this lot but the ground will then be absolutely sodden.
Another day soon passed!
