Faraway Places
After the Transport Secretary’s warning today not to book Summer holidays anywhere yet, our hopes of a late Summer / Autumn trip to sunnier climes seem to have receded even further away.
Mind you, even a 20 minute drive to some of the exotically named places on the distant Mendip Hills in this blip (Chew Magna, Rodney Stoke, Hinton Blewett, Wookey Hole, Norton Malreward to name but a few) would be a treat at the moment.
The photo was taken from about the furthest point from home on our walk today on Street Hill. As the bridle path we’d just walked up was pretty muddy, despite the dusting of overnight snow, I’ve tagged it for Wide Wednesday.
Earlier, we’d enjoyed our mid week pre-breakfast run. By this afternoon we were happy to put our feet up.
