Outdoor self portrait with additional light

But why?  According to my young(er) friend Bengt, the obvious answer is this: Because I could!  But he is not always right.  This time it is: Because I had to. 

Our photo club has a special interest group for Portraits with a new task/theme each month.  I thought this theme was completely … - well not so inspiring.  But tonight, I am a bit proud of myself.  It’s much better to try, and maybe fail than to never give it a try.  (There are probably some famous words I could quote, but I only remember those in Swedish: Hellre lyss till den sträng som brast, än att aldrig spänna en båge.)
