Watching the birdie #26

Hub slept fitfully....so he told me this morning, as I absolutely crashed out! I didn't feel great, slept too heavy leaving me with a woolly head!

Breakfast in bed was cornflakes, banana and toasted fruit bread, with a cuppa.

We spent a bit of time on the jigsaw, its coming a little now, mid morning coffee, which was when I saw todays birdie......a juvenille blackbird if Im not mistaken, as it hopped from the decking rail onto the garden table. Hubs had a bit of back ache today, sciatica like he says, at the base of his spine.....ehich has made him a bit miffed, as besides that, hes feelin really quite good, so it feels like one step forward and one step back :-/

He fancied a sandwich meal deal so I walked round to our local Tesco Express, one BLT, a packet of hulahoops and an iced coffee coming right up! Walked back the longer way so got a few steps in......nice in the sun but really chilly in the shade.

Lunch wasnt as nice as we hoped.....but ok.
Afterwards we got out for our walk. Hub decided the route, the pace, both longer & faster than before. We walked probably five times further than he's managed previously, all the way doen our close, to our little lake, all the way around it and then back home, towards 1500 steps id say :-))

Once back home I decided to cut back the other large miscanthus grass we have in the back garden, before the green bin is emptied in the morning. Spent around an hour cutting back and tidied, bin ended up 3/4s full.
I could see hub indoors, pouring over the jigsaw ;-)

I spent a couple of hours today setting up access to an app to enable me to monitor my credit card, but their system was down earlier, finally sorted it later this afternoon. Our neighbour popped round with some soft fruit she had picked up for me late afternoon.

When I went back, doenstairs, hub had taken down the roller blind in the lounge in readiness for the fitters installing our shutters. I was really chuffed to see that he had managed to do it singlehandedly :-)

Dinner tonight was chicken breast stuffed with cheddar cheese and wrapped in streaky bacon, jacket potato and baked beans ;-) It was tasty........hub had fruit amd rice pudding to follow.

We are going to catch up on Marcella and Joanna Lumleys Our Land tonight......wont be late to bed as we need an alarm call in the morning. Need to be up for the fitters and get hub squirrelled away in the back bedroom until they have been and gone :-)

Hope you are all keeping well, warm and safe!
