Distant hills
Distant hills, not that I miss being on them at the moment, I’m far too risk averse. The blip was taken from St Luke’s playing field just inside the East Ren border – and well within the 5 mile limit beyond your own council area that is permitted in Scotland. The light had been better slightly earlier on the day and I was a tad disappointed with the result. So enjoyed the TV programme about Blencathra, which gave me a longing to see hills and mountains, even if they are far away.
Eyesight excursion seemed to take for ages, they were extremely through. Hopefully my new glasses will arrive well before the fortnight window I was given. Delighted that I no longer need glasses for driving, which is what I thought but slightly anxious to that potentially I might have been in breach of insurance requirements.
Quietly encouraging COVID stats today, especially the positivity rate which fell below 5% for the third time in a week. They don’t seem to publish these for the other nations, or not that I have noticed.
I am at a loss to make sense of everything else that is going on with the SNP right now, all those splinter groups. Hats off to my MSP (James Dornan) and his team who are endeavouring to track down a vaccine appointment for R.
22 day Yoga streak and a 33 day Duolingo streak.
Interesting conversation with M (generously clearing the snow on the path to the bins) who is amazed I haven’t seen any foxes. Apparently they regularly appear. I must just be unlucky – I frequently look out for them at all hours of the night. At least I now know they are there. I’m tempted, under cover of darkness, to surreptitiously distribute some cat food which I’m told they find irresistible.
