Firth of Foggy
Been some heavy fog around the past couple of days. Had an odd effect today on some drivers, a few of whom probably manage to have their high intensity fog lights on during the best of weather, and passed loads of cars that had no lights, or some piddly little sidelights on, when visibility was down to around about twenty car lengths. Flashed at one driver and got the dirtiest, most evilest looking scowl back in return. Some folk.
Car in for it's annual (oops, forgot about that again) MOT. Three years in a row that it's sailed through without spending a small fortune, but the most interesting thing this year was the number of miles I'd run up compared to before. Down almost 3,000 miles this past year compared to the previous 3 that were listed. Not that I've cycled all that, but there's been a definite conscious effort to use the four wheels less. With the AA's guide on car running costs I had a look at just there that works out to just over £1,300 saved. Result.
Think that deserves a couple of new tyres at least. Or some shiny new glass...
Apparently it's 'Work your proper hours' day in the UK tomorrow. Happy 'Work your proper hours' day then, when it comes.
