At the end of the day

A strangely murky day today - very low cloud but finally late afternoon, the sky started to clear. I took this at 6.30 this evening. It's lovely that the days are really starting to stretch out now.

I was driving home and the sun had disappeared behind the hills and I was desperate to find somewhere to stop to take a snap - just managed to catch the final rays and a contrail as it started to disperse.
