Kinema......Cinema

This is our local cinema - yes aren't we quaint! Called the Kinema in the Woods. It started life as a sports pavillion in the grounds of a hotel but was turned into a cinema in 1922 - the first film shown was Charlie Chaplin. It has a beautiful vintage Compton Organ which comes up through the floor during the Interval with an organist playing all the old tunes. The foyer walls are covered in memorabilia of Hollywood movie stars. Despite it's quaintness, it shows all the latest film releases 7 days a week, sometimes twice a day.
