Old .....

..... soldier.

After a busy couple of days, today has been a bit more relaxed. I had a bit of a lie in this morning. At lunch time I had a wander over to Crews Hill and a look around the garden centers and specialist pet shops and bought some daphnia to take back home for my baby axolols and a nice lemon drizzle cake from a farm shop for next weeks cake night ( I'll try not to get the two mixed up ).

This evening I went with my dad to pick up one of his older brother's* friends from the underground station and drop him off home after a trip in to town. Roy is in his early 80's and was a soldier and a boxer in his youth. He's one of those London characters you don't see too many of nowadays, always dressed in a shirt and tie when he leaves the house.

This evening we've had a take away Chinese meal ( very nice it was too ). I took a portrait of Karen who works in the Chinese restaurant and have put that here. I've only taken a few photos today and at the moment seem to find myself drawn to taking portrait, so today's blip is an .....

* My dad is the youngest of 8 siblings and his brother is 18 years older than him.
