Not getting any eggs from this guy

China Hen lives on top of a drain cover in the lawn. She is surrounded by egg shaped pebbles. Currently she is buried up to her neck in snow but is not complaining.
Temperature not above freezing all day but the sun has been out so most of the roads were clear. We made the most of it and walked to D2's house and back, about 6 miles. The sun shining on the snow was very bright and felt warm, when out of the chilly breeze. Because of the weather I wore my wellies for the walk, sensible choice except one of them had a puncture hole that was letting in water, letting in water (Hole in my shoe by Traffic). But apart from one soggy sock it was a delightful walk.
