Reaps Cross
A walk over Heptonstall Moor- making a detour to Reaps Cross which was erected in the 1400s as a way-marker for pilgrims and others traversing the high Pennine moors.
Gorple Reservoir can be seen in the distance.
The 15 feet high cross is an ancient monument and grade 2 listed.
There is a plaque on the cross that records it was re-erected in 2002.
