Rest in Peace, Edith

Edith died in January. She is the third of my college friends to die in the last 3 years. Today I was able to watch her funeral on line.

She was an amazing women who was born in wartime Berlin and lived all over the world as a wife and mother. She protested at Greenham Common, sang in so many choirs wherever she went, taught in a variety of schools and colleges, and was teaching U3A groups to speak German until a few years ago.

I hope my other two college friends, Asa and Sam were waiting to welcome her at the pearly gates!

Photo 6 was taken at Jack and my "25 anniversary" wedding party. Edith made a really good speech which we hadn't known she was planning to do!
