Weird Wide Wethursday

Hey ho.  A day late for Wide Wednesday.

At the Dell House we have a 'spare' bathroom.  It's only every used for large group bookings (remember them?) and as a backup when something's broken elsewhere.

It's decorated in, how shall we say, a unique style.  It may be the world's only 4-poster, gold-plated bathroom.

As far as we can glean, we think it was decorated in the 90's.  It's very well implemented and being a surplus bathroom, looks like new.  However, it's an outstandingly inefficient use of space so it's all about to change, big-time. 

When we've finished we'll have a bedroom and a bathroom in the same space.  Welcome to the White Room.

Thus, recording the existing decor before discovering what worrying mysteries lie beneath the floor.  We already know the plumbing is, um, interestingly implemented and needs dealing with - which is where the whole train started as we can't get at that until the whole 2-level floor comes out.
