Like running on a beach

Yesterday afternoon we had watched the alpenglow creep up the snowy Pentland summits from afar. Today we made sure to be there for the repeat showing.

Setting off at 3.30, we timed it just about right passing one of the summits at 5pm, just before sunset.

Sadly our intended route was too ambitious in the deep soft snow so cut it short. My ribs were complaining anyway.
