White-crowned Sparrow
(back blip 3 of 3)
One would expect a bird named white-crowned sparrow would have a white crown of some sort. Adults have black and white striped crowns. This is an immature bird. They can be found in much of North America, from the arctic to Mexico. They hop quickly from point A to point B. In my yard, they like to perch on the chunk of dead cholla and the stick I have running through it. I also find them in the Texas Ranger bush when I look out my bedroom window (along with Verdin and hummingbirds).
