Bull rushes (raupo)

I took this photo and then smartly hopped back into the warmth of my car, ssooo cold. I realise l am bleating on about the cold a lot at the moment but l am a warm weather girl, usually l would be in NZ at this time of the year lapping up the southern golden rays and avoiding this but not to be - nor next year l suspect.

The photo is of Mill Hill Village pond, a very small pond which appears to have frozen solid with snow then settled on top of the ice giving the effect of black and white.
