My Birthday

I made my grand entrance to the world at 21:50 on Thursday the 31st of January. I was due 6 days earlier on the 25th, but I decided to be fashionably late.

I arrived by C-section after mam had been in labour for over 24 hours. The doctors said that I was not coming out the usual way, because I was facing the wrong way, and because I am so big compared to my mam - I weighed 9lbs 3oz at birth!

This is the first picture that was ever taken of me - I am about 30 seconds old here - just enough time for the midwife to carry me from the operating table and give me a quick wipe down. I am already looking around to see what is going on.
