Waddle in the dark

Apparently this is a Muscovy Duck. It lives on the riverbanks here, usually accompanied by two other darker ones. Today he/she was by itself and headed straight to me with little or no hesitation.came right up. Perhaps lonely, or maybe hungry. My dog wanted to say hello, so it quickly moved on again. I always feel humbled and also grateful that any animal trust us enough to approach us. Considering our unhidden track record toowards other species. It's a great honour.
I hope the others turn up soon so it has his/her normal company.
