Welcome...

....to the jungle!
Aka our revamped porch.

I have to admit, I really pulled my face when they brought the flooring in; I didn’t like it (even though I chose it!) !

However, once it was down properly and I saw just how bright it made everything, I was really pleased with it.

The flooring replaces carpet (which was constantly grubby) so now it will be much easier to keep clean with a regular mop.

We’ve also got rid of our console table and replaced it with a storage box that doubles as a seat for when we put our shoes on. No more balancing on one leg (which is great news for me!!).

Another new addition is the wall mounted coat rack. Usually we have to put visitors coats on the bed in our spare room, so now there’s handy little hooks (for when we are allowed visitors again).

Wallpapering when you have a broken leg and frozen shoulder isn’t the easiest thing to do, but I’m the ‘paperer’ in our house and it seemed only fair I do ‘something’ other than spend money. I would much rather hang wallpaper than paint, though matching up the pattern made my eyes wonky!
Mr A was on hand to help me out and luckily it’s not a huge wall, so between us it was done in no time.

We hope not, but it may be the closest we get to a tropical paradise this year ;-)
