"Fairytales"

Music plays a huge part in our lives as a family TG (son) and I share same taste but LG's a bit of a dinosaur :-) Who are Procol Harum??? Every now and then you come across an album that you just can't stop playing and my new ITunes download "Fairytales" from Heather Peace is one such album. The album is a mix of lush string-laden piano melodies and laid back guitar riffs alongside Heather's soaring, dramatic vocals. The twelve songs share beautiful, honest stories of crap relationships, sabotaging good ones and the trouble with believing in fairytales. As well as being an amazing singer/songwriter she is a very talented actress (Waterloo Road and the brilliant drama Lip Service as well as many years ago the only female firefighter in London's Burning). The music industry intrigues me.....artists who really CAN'T sing make their way, by very clever marketing, right to the top yet pure genius such as artists like Heather have to do it the hard way and rarely get the recognition they deserve. Check the album out on ITunes you can listen to a snippet of each track before you buy but I am sure just a handful of notes and you will be smitten!
