Ice in the harbour

I should have mentioned on the blip of my toque a couple of days ago that Aran sent one for G as well as for me. I found a blip from 2014 with Krista and Kalyn modelling them. 
I wrote in a few replies to comments recently that I only remember seeing ice in the harbour once in the years we've lived here. G can only remember once as well, and he has a much better memory than I do. This morning we noticed ice at the section where the creek flows into the harbour. Makes sense that it would form there first. I took another photo of a swirl of snow and ice and added it as an extra, just because I liked the shape. No snow on the ground at our place. The wind was bitterly cold on our walk. The forecast for the southern Gulf Islands now includes 25 cm of snow overnight and tomorrow. We'll see how much there is when we get up in the morning! We don't have to go anywhere and we have everything we need, so we're hunkered down and prepared for whatever comes.
