SAFE AS HOUSES

The houseboats moored near Canary Wharf look appealing and idyllic, as I walk by, and momentarily imagine living on one of the impressive barges.
It was only when I stopped to feed a hungry moorhen, that I noticed the less than subtle security in place, to enable the residents to sleep safely at night.
