Snow on Arran
I can't resist the view of the Arran hills from the Ardyne - the frame provided by the Island of Bute seems to enlarge the hills, make them more important. This afternoon we were here just before the sun made a last appearance between the clouds and the horizon, and the flat light of the moment made the detail of the individual peaks clearer - and showed up the snow clinging to their northern faces.
And not for the first time I wished I was among them!
