Giant Kauri

Tane Mahutu - Lord of the Forest
This is the biggest Kauri in NZ and believed to be over 2000 years old. 
Because of Kauri Dieback we had to clean and disinfect our shoes before entering the forest. There is now a boardwalk around the tree to protect the roots from dieback spores.
