Silly Cricket

With 90% chance of rain forecast we didn't leap out of bed to go to the kid's cricket this morning. However Graham messaged to say it was on so we headed off about 10 o'clock.

It was pouring with rain in Blackheath and by the time we got to Katoomba they had called the match off. 
However the rain had settled to a light drizzle so the remaining kids kept on playing a game of sorts for about half an hour until their parents finally dragged them home.

It looked pretty unorthodox even to one as ignorant of the the finer points as I am. I don't think there should be 5 batsmen on the field at once should there?

I was too slow to catch Essy fielding with the umbrella but she had it handy.
