Elegance
Back at the beach house, and feeling fortunate that we have this option until/unless we find another permanent home. Lots of rationalization required to make it convenient for (semi)permanent living.
Did a bit more weeding this afternoon before heading down the steps to the Southend, where a solitary Poaka was mixing with the white faced herons. Further along the beach were kuaka. Scattered amongst the herons were oystercatchers, Tarapunga (red-billed gulls), and two masked lapwings. Too alert to let me be close.
Later we enjoyed pizza on the deck with S’ brother and his partner, plus our daughter, J. Beautiful and peaceful place.
