The Georgian Dublin Heritage Tour
NOT!
I am more and more upset as I cycle to and from the Repair Factory. I use different routes now and then, to see the effect of a third prolonged lockdown on an already battered city.
To say that it's grim would be a hurtful euphemism. The economic devastation is hard to avoid.
While the suburbs are relatively busy with people moving and exercising and going about their essential shopping, the oxygen has really been sucked out of the city centre. Officeland looks like a zombie movie set. The shitty centre commerce is being decimated, due to the lack of shoppers. And the number of tents popping up on the grassy verges of the Grand Canal has increased at a worrying rate in recent weeks.
No one should be forced to live in a tent, not even in a pandemic, especially not in a pandemic.
No one should be forced to die in a tent, not even in a pandemic, especially not in a pandemic.
