Redwing

 Redwings used to be regular visitors a few years ago. They used to turn up with a few Fieldfares and polish off the windfall apples. Now, I get a very occasional Fieldfare. I haven't seen a Redwing  for at least 10 years. I think the exceptionally cold weather has driven several birds back to my garden over the last few days. I've upped my game and added porridge to the bird table, just in case there are any more hungry unexpected visitors close by
