Where's the Fire?
Today was a big adventure for Moira as I joined a friend and her granddaughter at the "Great Explorations Children's Museum". The exhibits encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and discovery. They are very inviting for the kids to touch and explore or role play. There were so many exhibits we could not get to all of them.
I was exhausted after two hours and ready for lunch but the kids could have kept going. Moira was particularly fascinated with the Fire truck. It had a video cam of a real fire truck responding to a call. Lights were flashing, fire helmets, bells, poles, jackets, everything to complete the exhibit of the Engine 15 Fire House.
My personal favorite was the harp with no strings that they could play through sound waves. It was so much fun I bought a year around pass for us.
