Rugby Saturday

Weather still bad, snow turning to ice and a really cold wind. The cold is getting worse, the water pipes to the washing machine (in the garage) are frozen so that is temporarily out of commission.
The day was planned bearing in mind the conditions, urgent jobs only. So the chicken house, inside the famous Hen Tent, was cleaned out and new  straw bedding laid. Topped up their food and replaced the frozen water with clean liquid to drink. Put some more wild bird food out, as everything is still covered with snow they will be needing this. Finally do my COPD exercises and bring in wood for the log burner.
The beer I ordered last night from a local brewery was delivered just before the rugby started, a wonderful omen for a good afternoon
Blip was planned in advance, sausage roles and beer waiting for the rugby to start. This plan did not work, the England/ Italy game started before I had blipped and, sorry, but rugby took priority over blip.
Therefore I ended up at half time taking a picture of a box of 12 beers, with the one I was already drinking, missing
The beer was good, England won and Wales/Scotland played out a really exciting match. Missed blip but still a good day
